Chery Tiggo 4 Pro is actually a very distinctive SUV model. It features a rugged exterior design with prominent elements such as a large front grille guard, LED headlights, and a 3D LED light strip at the rear. As one of Chery's international strategic vehicles, it demonstrates the brand's capability to compete with international brands in terms of design. According to information from the official website, the vehicle measures 4,318 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,610 mm, positioning it as a B-Segment SUV.
In terms of interior design, the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro features a relatively simple yet modern aesthetic. Some trendy elements include ambient lighting, digital instrument cluster, electronic gear shift lever, electronic parking brake, and a standalone touchscreen infotainment system. It is expected that this vehicle will also come equipped with advanced active safety features. Additionally, due to its wheelbase of 2,610 mm, the vehicle offers decent interior space. According to the manufacturer, the car will come with a certain level of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), but it's unclear if features like Adaptive Cruise Control, which Malaysian consumers often look for, will be included.
For engine, the new vehicle will feature a 1.5L Turbocharged Engine paired with a CVT Transmission. However, due to the lack of direct injection technology, the engine's horsepower is not particularly high. The maximum horsepower of this car is 147 Hp, with peak torque at 230 Nm. Additionally, in some overseas markets, there is a version available with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, but it's unlikely to be introduced locally.
Recent reports suggest that this vehicle will enter the local market, with an expected price lower than RM100,000 to avoid direct competition with the Omoda 5. However, based on our understanding, Chery Malaysia plans to introduce models like the Omoda E5, Tiggo 7 Pro, and Jeacoo J7 locally, but there's currently no news regarding the Tiggo 4 Pro/5X Pro.
