Celebrate Malaysia Day with JPJ’s New ‘GM’ Number Plates

In conjunction with Malaysia Day, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) has introduced a brand-new special number plate series, ‘GM’, which stands for Gemilang Malaysia. The series is now open for bidding through the JPJ eBid platform, and interested bidders have until Saturday, September 20, 2025 to place their offers. Results will be revealed the following day, September 21, 2025.

JPJ has outlined five pricing tiers for the plates. Standard numbers begin at RM300, while popular numbers start from RM500. Moving up the scale, attractive numbers are priced from RM2,500, premium numbers from RM5,000, and the most exclusive golden numbers—such as ‘GM 1’—carry a minimum bid of RM20,000.

As an added perk, successful bidders will also receive two complimentary tickets to the Super GT Malaysia 2026, which is set to be held at the Sepang International Circuit from June 19-20, 2026.

This limited-time plate series offers Malaysians the chance to own a unique number while celebrating the nation’s spirit—without the hassle of resellers or extra fees.
