Malaysia Lowers Fuel Prices by Five Sen for August 6–12, 2026
The government has announced a five sen per litre reduction for RON97, unsubsidised RON95 and unsubsidised diesel for the period of August 6 to August 12, 2026.
The latest adjustment comes as ongoing geopolitical uncertainty continues to drive fluctuations in global crude oil prices, affecting domestic fuel pricing under Malaysia's weekly fuel price mechanism.
For the coming week, RON97 is priced at RM4.35 per litre, while unsubsidised RON95 has been reduced to RM3.77 per litre. Unsubsidised diesel also drops by five sen to RM4.57 per litre.
Meanwhile, subsidised fuel prices remain unchanged. Under the BUDI95 programme, eligible motorists can continue to purchase RON95 at RM1.99 per litre. The Subsidised Petrol Control Scheme (SKPS) also remains at RM2.05 per litre.
For diesel, the Subsidised Diesel Control System (SKDS) continues at RM2.15 per litre, while BUDI Diesel remains at RM2.10 per litre.
The revised fuel prices take effect from August 6 and will remain in force until August 12, 2026, in line with Malaysia's weekly fuel price adjustment mechanism.
