PROTON Expands e.MAS Presence in Sri Lanka Through New Partnership

PROTON is expanding its e.MAS brand into Sri Lanka after signing a new partnership with David Pieris Holdings (DPHL). Under the agreement, DPHL will become the official distributor for Proton e.MAS models in Sri Lanka, with sales expected to start in 2026.

DPHL is one of Sri Lanka’s major companies and has many years of experience in the automotive industry. Its automotive company, David Pieris Automobiles (DPAL), will manage the Proton business in Sri Lanka.

Customers will also benefit from DPHL’s other services, including vehicle financing and logistics, making it easier to buy and own a Proton. The partnership will help the company grow its presence in Sri Lanka and introduce more new energy vehicles (NEVs) to the market.

The move also adds Sri Lanka to the growing list of countries selling Proton e.MAS models. The brand is already available in Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago, Mauritius and Nepal, with Brunei expected to join soon.

The e.MAS brand has also performed strongly in 2026. It recorded 21,808 units sold in Malaysia and overseas markets during the first seven months of the year. Total sales have now passed 30,000 units since the e.MAS 7 was launched in December 2024.

With this new partnership, PROTON continues to grow its e.MAS brand beyond Malaysia and enter more international markets.
