JPJ Launches Final Single-Letter ‘H’ Number Plate Series

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has launched the new “H” series of vehicle registration numbers ahead of Malaysia Day 2026. The series will cover registration numbers from H 1 to H 9999, with the letter “H” standing for “Harmoni”, reflecting the spirit of Malaysia Day and Malaysia’s diversity, unity and togetherness.



The “H” series is also significant as it will be the final single-letter registration plate series to be issued by JPJ. Bidding will be conducted through the JPJeBid online bidding system, starting on September 16, 2026, which falls on Malaysia Day, and closing at 10pm on September 20, 2026.



The starting bid prices are RM20,000 for golden numbers, RM5,000 for premium numbers, RM2,500 for attractive numbers, RM500 for popular numbers and RM300 for running numbers. Bidding results are expected to be announced within 24 hours on September 21.

Successful bidders must register their winning number to a vehicle within 12 months from the date the official bidding results are issued.
